Expanding our Team by Welcoming Anna Mercer BA (Hons) DipHE MIoL CertCIH FTPI Assoc RICS

Skills4Housing is thrilled to announce the addition of our newest team member, Anna Mercer, who joins us as our Business Development Manager!

Passionate about the continued professionalisation of the housing and property sectors, Anna focuses on helping individuals succeed in their careers while supporting organisations in building stronger, more capable workforces.

Anna joined Skills4Housing at the beginning of July, bringing 14 years of extensive experience in housing and residential property management, combining deep industry knowledge with a strong background in education and coaching.

Reflecting on her new role, Anna shared:

Throughout my career, I’ve seen first-hand the difference that the right qualifications, mentoring, and professional development can make. Property and housing professionals are expected to navigate increasingly complex responsibilities, and they deserve access to the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to do their roles well.

That’s what drives me – helping individuals build successful careers while making it easier for employers to develop and qualify their teams through accessible, practical learning pathways. I’m passionate about creating opportunities for people to grow, gain confidence, and achieve their potential, while supporting organisations to build strong, capable workforces for the future.

By closely collaborating with housing associations, local authorities, charities, and residential property management organisations, Anna will work to enhance workforce development through qualifications, apprenticeships, and professional development programmes.

In addition to her qualifications in housing and property, Anna holds certifications in teaching, coaching, and mentoring. Having dedicated many years to supporting learners from diverse backgrounds, she has a hands-on understanding of the challenges faced by sector professionals today.

Currently, Anna is actively involved with The Property Institute (TPI) as an Associate Tutor, where she delivers webinars and workshops, supports mentoring initiatives, and contributes to focus groups on wellbeing and professional development.

As our new Business Development Manager, Anna brings a practical understanding of the sector and a genuine appreciation for the skills required to help learners achieve their goals and realise their full potential.
