We are committed to delivering high-quality housing and property qualifications which will combine practical experience and recognised qualifications to support learners and employers in long-term success within the housing and property industry – and the support of the TPI represents a significant step in that journey.
What is The Property Institute (TPI)?
The Property Institute is the UK’s leading professional body for residential property management and was created through the merging of the Association of Residential Managing Agents (ARMA) and the Institute of Residential Property Management (IRPM).
With over 50 years' experience in residential property management, the TPI is committed to creating a positive difference by ensuring people’s homes are managed competently, safely and ethically.
As the voice of professional property management, the TPI works with housing and property organisations across leasehold management, Build to Rent, and block management, including the wider residential housing sectors, to ensure high standards of knowledge, ethics and customer service.
Skills4Housing and The Property Institute
As professionalism and compliance continue to drive the housing and property sectors, employers and learners can be confident that our housing and property management apprenticeships utilising the TPI’s learning platform will deliver the exact skills needed to support key growth in areas like social housing, leasehold management and Build to Rent.

As part of the delivery partnership, Skills4Housing will integrate The Property Institute’s learning platform alongside selected apprenticeship programmes such as the Level 3 Leasehold Management Apprenticeship, the Level 4 Leasehold Management Apprenticeship, and the Level 4 Build to Rent Apprenticeship.
By completing one self-study TPI unit each month, alongside their apprenticeship, learners will achieve recognised professional membership without sitting additional exams, including ATPI post-nominals for completing the Level 3 Leasehold Management Apprenticeship and the MTPI post-nominals for learners completing eligible Level 4 Apprenticeships.
